Wow! I have been a slacker! I didn't realize that I haven't written in 2 months! What's happening? In September, I celebrated my 28th Birthday! Not a really eventfully event just because my dear husband and I agreed that I would go to Texas for my birthday! Unfortunately, I didn't remember this until my husband gently reminded me well after I started an argument because my birthday wasn't anything special! Sorry, honey!

Next week Steve and I will be going to Las Vegas for our 5th wedding anniversary! My husband suggested we renew our wedding vows! I thought it was really romantic, but how fun would it be to have Elvis renew our vows for us! LOL!

I'm currently making Madilyn's halloween costume. She is going to be a cowgirl with her boots and hat Aunt Sheryl sent her for her birthday. It's gonna be so cute! I can't wait to see it done. Hopefully, I'll get it done in time!

So, Steve has taken to be a part-time repossessor. The money is good. But he already had his first accident. The very first time he went out in the truck by himself...he wrecked, kinda. He was towing a repo'ed truck to the lot down interstate 57. He was about 1 block from the exit when it happened. The hydrolics went out on the lift of the tow truck and dropped the 2001 Dodge Ram pickup he was towning. Dropped it at 60 miles an hour on the interstate. It veered straight left across 3 lanes of traffic, straight into the bridge of the Cal City River. Yup, you guessed it. It's totalled. I have to get to the lot to take some pictueres. No one was hurt, thank goodness, so what a scrapbook page!!!!!

Okay, well I've been to Texas and am still recooperating. Landed Thursday. Sydney picked me and Amber up from the Airport and we went to dinner with the Scrapjazz girls. They are all beautiful and so much fun. Friday, we spent the entire day scrapping. Friday night, we just hung out in our hotel room. Saturday, another day of scrapping. But Saturday night, I hung out pool side with a lot of the jazzers. It was a BLAST!!!! Jello Shots Baby! I'm not usually much of a drinker, but I was that night. Had a blast. Made it back to the hotel room about 4 am and back up at 7 for breakfast before everyone left.

I feel very privledged to have met so many of the woman I talk to on a daily basis! Can't wait to do it again. Now, if we could just figure out this stinking photobucket thing so we can share our pics.

Sunday July 29, 2007

Well another weekend gone. It was a really good one. On Thursday, my friend, April Kegg, had her baby. A little boy, Owen Matthew. He is adorable. On Friday my father in law finally got to come home from the hospital. I know he is overly excited about that. Friday night we did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! After having to run all over for the entire week, and it was wonderful.

On Saturday, Steve, Madilyn and I had family time. We went out to lunch. Went to the Simpsons Movie! Madi thought it was great that Homer was so big. She kept asking if he was real. Steve's favorite part was the very last scene on the rooftop (don't wanna give it away to those who are gonna see it). Then we took Madilyn bowling for the first time. She thought the shoes were cool because they sounded like tap shoes when she danced. She even slipped when she went over the foul line and got her foot caught in the bumper guard. This is only funny because I saw it...and of cousre, because she didn't get hurt! She bowled a 32 and a 65. Pretty good for barely being able to lift the ball. We finished the afternoon with ice cream from Dairy Queen. Madilyn and I fell asleep on the couch about 7:30 p.m.

Today, we did nothing. Stayed home. Madilyn wanted to watch movies all day...fine by me, it was HOT outside. So I spent some time in my scrapbook room getting things ready for my trip to Texas. Only a few more days!!!! I'm nervous about leaving Madilyn for that many days. I know she is in good hands (her daddy's), but I've never gone away like this since I've been married, let alone since I had her. But I am excited, I've never been to Texas and I've never been to a "retreat" scrapbook event. I think it will be fun!

Only a week left! I leave for Texas in ONE WEEK!!! Can you tell I am excited?!?!?! I don't know if it is because I am currently motivated to scrap or if it is because I am super excited to meet this fabulous group of girls from Scrapjazz. Either way, only one week left.

So, my father in law had his gall bladder removed yesterday. The doctor said it was REALLY full of infection and they didn't even sew him up. Just used a couple of clamps and sent him on his way! Today, he is feeling much better. Actually, we'll be on our way for a visit shortly (gotta wait for Madi to wake up from her nap).

My friend April is finally having her baby today! She is scheduled for a c-section at 6 pm and as luck would have it, she will be at the same hospital as my FIL. YEAH!!!! I can't wait to see baby boy Kegg!!!

Well, things don't always go as expected. Friday night, my father in law Bill was taken to the Emergency room for what we thought was a heart attack. Only to find out later, that is was his gall bladder. Of course, they did all kinds of heart tests first. So, today the doctor unblocked his gallbladder ducts and tomorrow, his gall bladder will be removed. Hopefully, all will be well after this. I got some really cute pictures of Madilyn with her Papa at the hospital. Especially when she doctors him. It's adorable. As usual, Madi captured the attention of all the nurses and doctors at the hospital with her charming personality!

Kaylee is going home later today! She is soooo excited. I'm not sure how Madilyn is going to take it, but I'm sure she will cope.

Less than 2 weeks until I take a trip to Texas. Amber and I are going to Texas Scrapfest. A bunch of girls from ScrapJazz will be there I think about 50 total. I can't wait to meet my fellow jazzers! I know, I know, kinda weird going all the way to Texas to scrapbook right! Well, I figure if I can meet my husband online, I can meet friends there too! Oh, and Sydney will be joining us there. Should prove to be a GREAT time! Now, only if we get some scrapping done!

Sleepover

Madilyn's cousin Kaylee (she's 5) is visiting from Florida. She has been here since the middle of June. Only a couple more days before she gets o fly home...all by herself! She is really excited about that. Oh, and she misses her grammy too! Well, they had a sleepover last night. They colored and played Barbies. They we went to the store to get some ice cream. We had a blast making ice cream cones. Of course, I didn't take a picture of that. The best part is this--When we went to go to bed, for some reason Madilyn got upset about having to go to sleep. Kaylee offered to hold her hand (Awwww!) She was fine with that. They went to sleep holding hands. So, I sneek back in with the camera, they are facing opposite directs, not even touching. But I took a picture anyway! They are adorable! I know Madilyn is going to miss Kaylee very much when she goes home!

Hello all! Welcome to our family blog. This is my way of sharing news and photos of our Everyday life! Hope you enjoy it!

What are we up to now? Well, Steve is working at Embassy Care in Wilmington. He is the Behavioral Health Nurse Manager. He is in charge of the nursing for the Mental Health Unit. As for me...I quit Midwest Title Loans in May and am working for 5-Star Enterprises. We are a repossession company! Eventually, I will be in charge of all office functions...for now Dallas (my boss) is having a hard time letting go. We will eventually be in an office, but for now I get to work out of my house! I'm loving that! Madilyn stays with me most days. She goes to Grandma and Papa Neese's house on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They take her to the Wilmington Library for various programs and she LOVES it!
