And again it's been over 6 months since I have blogged. I am going to do my absolute best to try to blog at least twice a week.
We'll see how that works out.
Let's see, I guess I should catch you up. Madilyn started prechool in September. She is going to Kankakee Valley Montessori School...and she absolutely loves it. She is in Miss Diane and Miss Joanne's class. The pre-primary. She is doign well. She is so stinking smart. Suring paremt teacher conferences, Miss Diane says she would thrive if she were in kindergarten...ummm, no, I'm not ready for that yet. So, She will start kindergarten in the fall. WAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! That is me sobbing like a baby over my baby becoming a big girl!
Steve is still working at Embassy in Wilmington. He is the PRSD (Psychiatric Rehabilitaion Serviced Director). He is on call all the time. 24/7. 365.
As for me, the repo business is booming. And I am in the midst of planning the 4th annual scrap for a cure ot benefit the American Diabetes Association. It should be a lot of fun. It's always a lot fo work, but totally worth it!

Little Prom Queen

Madilyn is the master of dress up. She loves to go to garage sales, and we happen to find this old prom dress at one for $1. And the shoes, we found at Walmart for $3 on clearance. Of course, we she had to model the whole thing...and we had to "fix" her hair before the photos. She is adorabel and fun!

I got to watch the most amazing thing. My sister Linda gave birth to her 4th child. Derrick Eugene LaVerl Oakley was born in Mattoon Illinois at 2:50 pm. He weighed 5 lbs 14 oz and was 19 inches long. Yes, I do have a child, but I didn't get to see her be born, but the miracle of birth is AMAZING!!! At first, all I wanted to do was comfort Linda...and there was nothing I could do. She is definitely my hero when it comes to childbirth. NO DRUGS!!!! Then when the baby crowned, it only took about 5 minutes. It was AWESOME!! He is beutiful and cuddly and adorable! I'm grateful that my sister let me watch this amazing event. And of course, being the scrapbooker that I am, I documents the whole thing on film!
Mother's Day 2008
Today is my 4th mother's day. And they jsut keep getting better. Today was a pretty uneventful day, which I am greatful for. Madilyn and Steve got me a dozen roses and a HUGE balloon and a card. Then we picked up Bill and Ethel and went to lunch at the Texas Roadhouse in Joliet. The food was REALLY good! Then back home to relax and watch some tv. Not too, much excitement, but I spent it with the people I love most...Steve and Madilyn!

October 13, 2007
Wow! I have been a slacker! I didn't realize that I haven't written in 2 months! What's happening? In September, I celebrated my 28th Birthday! Not a really eventfully event just because my dear husband and I agreed that I would go to Texas for my birthday! Unfortunately, I didn't remember this until my husband gently reminded me well after I started an argument because my birthday wasn't anything special! Sorry, honey!
Next week Steve and I will be going to Las Vegas for our 5th wedding anniversary! My husband suggested we renew our wedding vows! I thought it was really romantic, but how fun would it be to have Elvis renew our vows for us! LOL!
I'm currently making Madilyn's halloween costume. She is going to be a cowgirl with her boots and hat Aunt Sheryl sent her for her birthday. It's gonna be so cute! I can't wait to see it done. Hopefully, I'll get it done in time!
So, Steve has taken to be a part-time repossessor. The money is good. But he already had his first accident. The very first time he went out in the truck by himself...he wrecked, kinda. He was towing a repo'ed truck to the lot down interstate 57. He was about 1 block from the exit when it happened. The hydrolics went out on the lift of the tow truck and dropped the 2001 Dodge Ram pickup he was towning. Dropped it at 60 miles an hour on the interstate. It veered straight left across 3 lanes of traffic, straight into the bridge of the Cal City River. Yup, you guessed it. It's totalled. I have to get to the lot to take some pictueres. No one was hurt, thank goodness, so what a scrapbook page!!!!!
